Windows dressed, floors laid, houses settled
We have been cutting curtains, valances, blinds and peel and stick floors for American houses for sixty years. Every design in this catalog carries its listed size, the light line where the label states one, and an honest note on where it fits.

The designs people keep writing about
Counted straight from the shelf, no thumb on the scale: these are the families with the most shopper reviews across the catalog.

Prices were noted when we last walked the retail shelf and drift with the seasons; the live figure is on the retail partner’s page.
Sixty years of cutting, one catalog
We would rather show the arithmetic than adjectives. Every figure below is counted from the catalog as it stands today, not rounded for effect.
Shop by what the thing has to do
Most of what is printed on a window label comes down to four practical questions. Pick the one your room is asking and the shelf narrows itself.
Light filtering
Daylight stays, the view breaks up. Kitchens and living rooms mostly want this.57Goes in the wash
Weaves and mats we would put through a machine cycle without wincing.34Rod pocket ready
A sewn channel at the top, so hanging is a rod and two brackets.11No drill needed
Peel and stick designs for rentals, tiled walls and floors you cannot cut into.Start from the room, not the product
A kitchen and a hallway ask opposite things of the same yard of fabric. These doors open the shelf already sorted for the room behind them.

The kitchen
Tiers, cafe pairs and washable weaves that shrug off steam and splatter. 31 designs fit here.

The bath
Short drops that stay clear of the tub, soft seats and mats that dry fast. 29 designs fit here.

Living spaces
Full length panels, valances, rods and floors for the rooms guests walk through. 25 designs fit here.

Nexus Peel & Stick Vinyl Floor Tiles, Black
Solid black flooring gives entryways, kitchens, and basements a clean, grounded base that handles everyday foot traffic. We cut these square-foot vinyl tiles at a 1.2 millimeter thickness with self-adhesive backing already applied. Simply pull the paper back and press each piece firmly onto a smooth, prepared subfloor.

Three passes before anything goes in the cart
- Measure the opening. Width at top, middle and bottom, length to sill or floor. The narrowest width rules an inside mount, the widest rules everything else.
- Name the light. Decide whether the room wants softened daylight or real dark before you fall for a pattern. The label on every design here states its behavior plainly.
- Check the hardware. Match the rod or the mount to the listed size in the spec table. Extra width on a curtain is fullness, extra width on a blind is a return trip.
| On the label | What comes through | Where it earns its keep |
|---|---|---|
| Semi sheer | Most daylight, softened view | Living rooms, layered under a heavier panel |
| Light filtering | Bright room, broken view | Kitchens, baths and daytime rooms, and most of this catalog |
| Room darkening | A dim room, edges still glow | Bedrooms, though only one design here carries the label |
| No light label | Nothing to do with the glass | Rods, floors, mats and the household shelf |
How the designs stay looking hung yesterday
Worth the two minutes
- Run a cool vacuum brush along hanging fabric monthly, before dust becomes a tint.
- Wash machine washable weaves cold and hang them back damp, the weight pulls the wrinkles out.
- Dust slats with a dry cloth top to bottom, tilted almost closed.
- Sweep grit off peel and stick floors promptly, grit is what dulls the wear layer.
Kinder to skip
- No hot dryers on curtain panels, heat sets creases and shrinks hems.
- No soaking wood look slats or coir mats, water is the one thing they hold against you.
- No harsh solvents on vinyl planks, a damp mop with mild soap does the whole job.
- No yanking a cordless shade down by one corner, lift and lower it square.
The window trade, kept plain
Since 1962 we have made window and floor goods for houses that do their own measuring and their own hanging. Our part is honest sizing, weaves that survive the wash and instructions a person can follow on a Saturday. The rest of the afternoon is yours.
A field guide to this catalog
Achim Home Furnishings is a family run maker of window treatments and home goods, cutting and boxing designs in New Jersey since 1962. This catalog is our shelf laid out in the open: curtain panels, valances and tiers, cordless blinds and shades, rods and brackets, peel and stick flooring and the rugs and mats that finish a floor. Every page carries the listed size, the light behavior where it applies, and the plain spoken notes we would give a neighbor over the fence.

Worth knowing about the maker
- Family run in North Brunswick, New Jersey, cutting window goods since 1962.
- Most fabric designs here are machine washable polyester, meant to go back up the same afternoon.
- Every cellular shade on the blinds wall lifts cordless, with no pull cord left in the room.
- Peel and stick floors go down without glue, nails or a tradesman, over any clean flat floor.
- Checkout, delivery and returns for every design run through our retail partner, not through this site.
Where to start
- The window matcher — answer three questions about the room and get the shelf pre narrowed
- Curtain panels — the deepest wall of the catalog and the usual first stop
- Measuring the window — ten minutes with a tape measure saves the whole errand
- Planks and floor tiles — if the project is underfoot rather than at the glass
Heard back from the houses
Lifted word for word from shopper reviews on the partner listings, chosen for saying something useful rather than something kind.
“My kitchen is one that is reflective of Italian Tuscan valley decor. This mat is perfect for the theme and it is well made and offers cushioning when standing at sink. It was a very popular choice to many and thankful you had it.”
“Stylish with a unique classy and sofisticated look. I love the tassells. Good quailty Material. Light weight and does let through some light which is great! Not too long to cover up all the natural light like other valances that cover too much of the window. The Material is semi soft and Drapes well.”
“The mat was nicer than expected. It had a nice thickness, it seems durable and will do the job of keeping dirt out of my home once someone enters. Will purchase another one soon for my additional entrances.”
Notes on hanging it right
The short trade notes we find ourselves repeating: measuring, mounting, light and the groundwork under a peel and stick floor.
Measure the window before you fall for anything
Most returns in this trade start with a tape measure that stayed in the drawer. Ten minutes with one saves the whole errand.
Inside or outside mount, decided honestly
Blinds and shades hang one of two ways, and the frame you already have usually makes the choice for you.
Light filtering or room darkening, and when each earns its keep
Two words on a label decide how a room wakes up, and only one of them is common on our shelf. Here is the plain version, told straight about what we do and do not cut.
The window is not going anywhere
Measure it tonight, sleep on the pattern, and the catalog will read the same in the morning. When you are ready, the matcher below narrows the shelf to what actually fits.
